Amrit Vichar ("we", "us", "our") publishes a Hindi-language newspaper serving Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and operates this website, our e-paper subscription service, and our reader promotions (including Spin & Win). This policy explains what information we collect from you and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

When you book a newspaper subscription, participate in a promotion, or otherwise reach out to us, we may collect:

• Your name and mobile number
• Your delivery address, pincode, and city
• Your email address, if you provide one
• Payment and transaction details when you pay for a subscription (processed securely by our payment partner, Razorpay — we do not store your card, UPI, or bank account details ourselves)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver your newspaper to your home — your address and contact details are used to set up and manage your delivery.
• To process your subscription and any payment you make to us.
• To contact you about your subscription, delivery, or an offer/prize you have claimed.
• To occasionally send you offer information — such as subscription discounts or promotions — by SMS, WhatsApp, call, or email. You can ask us to stop these at any time (see "Your Choices" below).

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Your information is kept confidential and is only shared where strictly necessary to serve you — for example, with our delivery staff/vendors so your newspaper reaches you, and with Razorpay solely to process a payment you initiate.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Access to customer information is limited to authorized staff who need it to do their job.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide your subscription and delivery, to comply with our legal and accounting obligations, and to maintain our business records.

6. Your Choices

You can ask us to stop sending you promotional/offer messages, or to update or correct the information we hold about you, at any time by contacting us (see below).

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults who can enter into a subscription. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
